Bellevue and Southern California-based women’s golf apparel company Kinona has announced a new retail expansion with Nordstrom.com and that of Dillard.
Kinona has also named Kirsten Wlaschin director of e-commerce and Bill Evans director of national sales.
Since the company was founded in 2017, Kinona, Hawaiian for “shape,” has doubled its revenue year-over-year. Its products are also found in more than 400 country clubs and golf stores, as well as lifestyle boutiques, according to a press release. Items from its collections should be available at Nordstrom.com beginning in late February, and at Dillard stores in Arizona and on Dillards.com later this month.
“We are thrilled that in just five years since our launch, we have expanded and grown into the company we are today and look forward to working with Nordstrom and Dillard’s to help bring the Kinona brand to more than women,” Dianne Celuch, co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “Working with our incredible and growing team, including Kirsten and Bill, we plan to continue to provide even more women with contemporary, fashion-forward and functional clothing that allows them to dress however they want.”
Celuch and co-founder and chief strategist Tami Fujii launched Kinona as a women’s golf apparel brand made by golfers, for golfers.
Among the new hires, Wlaschin brings more than two decades of marketing experience, including serving as chief marketing officer for Ivar’s Inc. and head of brand marketing with Eddie Bauer. Evans founded Snavely Consulting, a global trade and sales consulting firm that provides leadership and sales advice in the golf, sporting goods and apparel industries. He has also held leadership positions at Nike, Anatomy and Tail Golf and Tennis.
