DCW Acquires Assets of South West Computer Recycling | South West Deals

Commercial waste management specialist DCW has acquired the assets of electrical recycling company South West Computer Recycling.

After Somerset-based SWCR was liquidated as WEEE Disposal, DCW made the purchase as part of a move to expand the reach of its waste electrical equipment recycling service and electronic devices (WEEE) nationwide.

By integrating WEEE Disposal’s Wellington depot into the DCW business, the family business now operates from five locations in the South West including Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton and St. Austell.

DCW also welcomed 13 employees.

Managing Director Simon Almond said: “Electronic waste is a major problem in the UK that needs to be tackled and we are delighted to be at the forefront of the challenge by offering our WEEE recycling service. at national scale.

“Acquiring the assets of WEEE Disposal enables us to provide our Zero to Landfill solution to businesses across the country and as far away as Scotland. Bringing WEEE Disposal into the DCW operation enables us to enhance our proposition and is part of our strategic expansion nationwide.”

The advisers who worked on the deal were not disclosed.
