GOTYME Bank has partnered with Robinsons Supermarket, Shopwise, The Marketplace and the Go Rewards lifestyle rewards program.
“The partnership with Robinsons Supermarket will allow us to be present in places that are strongly integrated into the daily lives of Filipinos. In line with our mission to bring next-level banking products and services, people will now be able to open a bank account where they shop, eat and relax,” said Aaron Foo, chief strategy officer at GoTyme Bank.
“The terminals are the main contact points of our ‘phygital’ model (physical + digital) where you can open an account in less than 5 minutes. Our banking ambassadors who represent the human link of this strategy will always be present to guide our customers through the process,” added Eelan Reyes, Head of Sales at GoTyme Bank.
Through this partnership, account holders can now present their active GoTyme Bank Visa debit card at checkout to receive Go Rewards points and cashback promotions. For its initial offer, they can claim 20% cash back in the form of Go Rewards points, up to a maximum of 200 points, on their first single-receipt purchase using GoTyme Bank physical debit card in stores participating Robinsons retail.
GoTyme Bank kiosks are now available in 27 Robinsons supermarkets, five Shopwise and six The Marketplace branches.
Those who open an account can claim their card in just under five minutes, can easily cash in and withdraw for free at the cash desks to fund their accounts. Customers who use their GoTyme Bank debit cards to pay for purchases will earn Go Rewards points wherever they shop and will earn three times as many Go Rewards points at all Robinsons affiliated stores.
For his part, Stanley Co, general manager of the supermarket segment of Robinsons Supermarket, said: “This [GoTyme] places us at the forefront of digital transformation. By allowing customers to open an account in the supermarket, we can hopefully encourage more Filipinos to open an account with ease and confidence. Customers can now shop and bank in one place.”
