How partnerships can help unlock the true potential of mobility

The world of commercial mobility is changing at a pace never seen before. Whether it’s the type of vehicles companies use, the fuel needed to run them, or the regulations in the cities they operate in, change is everywhere. This disruption brings new challenges and opportunities, with a growing demand for safer, more efficient and more sustainable mobility solutions.

Webfleet, Bridgestone’s globally recognized fleet management solution, is forging innovative partnerships with new and traditional service providers to meet this demand. By integrating meaningful vehicle data into partner solutions, it helps deliver next-level services to customers and create new business models. Together, the true power of partner solutions is unleashed.

Why partnerships are essential

For a fleet service provider that wants their current proposition to reach its full potential, data is critical. And telematics is the key that unlocks the data stream. Reliable data creates a complete view of the value chain. This visibility helps vendors identify where and how they can create additional value for their users at every stage.

For example, Scoobic Urban Mobility, a company that designs and manufactures 100% electric vehicles for last mile and urban delivery, partnered with Webfleet in January 2022. Through this collaboration, Webfleet provides timely vehicle data to Scoobic users, allowing them to optimize their routes based on remaining battery life, schedule maintenance and notify customers of delivery times. With this, they can improve labor efficiency by up to 30%.

“Webfleet has been a leader in integrated fleet management for over twenty years,” said Taco van der Leij, Vice President of Webfleet Europe. “Today we connect more than 1.2 million vehicles worldwide.

“Partnering with us means working with experts, accessing state-of-the-art technology that is easy to integrate. It’s about delivering common value to our common customers in our market and beyond.

Spotlight on partnerships

Webfleet is always looking for new opportunities to help companies create bigger and better mobility solutions. And over the past two years, he’s launched some powerful partnerships. Here are some important points.

Since September 2021, Webfleet has been a preferred telematics partner of the leading supply chain visibility solution provider project44. Through this partnership, Webfleet customers can immediately share their data for real-time visibility into shipments.

Webfleet also created additional features for the project44 platform, which simplified the onboarding and onboarding experience for carriers, without the need for manual configuration or the risk of incorrect documentation, while improving data security.

Scoobic partnered with Webfleet earlier this year. All new Scoobic vehicles will be equipped with Webfleet fleet management technology and premium Bridgestone tires. This EV solution provides insight into battery level, charging time and nearest charging point, helping Scoobic customers manage and optimize their operations with a pay-as-you-go model.

In June 2022, Webfleet partnered with Muses, an eOEM based near Paris. Muses will install Webfleet on all of its Muses eLCVs – a new range of vehicles designed to transport goods in and around cities. The full suite of Webfleet services for electric vehicles will be available on demand to end customers, enabling real-time monitoring of battery level, consumption, recovered energy, remaining range and charging time.

Chargylize is another innovative solution provider working in the field of e-mobility. Webfleet partners with Chargylize to provide a solution that allows fleet managers to plan their electrification journey step by step with accurate telematics data illuminating the way.

Chargylize simulates the switch to appropriate electronic alternatives based on the actual driving and parking profiles of the vehicles in the fleet as well as the existing charging infrastructure, while Webfleet provides the telematics data for the electrification control of the fleet.

How partnerships help our mutual customers

Customers are at the heart of everything Webfleet does. Every partnership launched is driven by the same goal – to enable companies with fleets to achieve their goals, whether it’s reducing fuel consumption, improving safety, increasing productivity or whatever they need to perform their tasks.

Taco van der Leij said: “These collaborations reinforce our leadership in the telematics market and offer our customers added value. Through partnerships with vendors such as Scoobic, project44, Chargylize, and Muses, customers gain access to cutting-edge technology in ways that would not otherwise be possible.

“Our partners also share our commitment to providing customers with simple setup, easy integration, and the highest level of data security. With this in mind, the sharing of data between the platforms of our partners is limited to what is necessary to provide an optimal service.

Survive and thrive

Such collaborations open up new possibilities for what solution providers can bring to market. They are the key to unlocking the full potential of mobility solutions, enabling Webfleet and its partners to create better solutions, reduce their carbon footprint and expand their market reach. Most importantly, these partnerships provide today’s fleets with the service they need to survive and thrive in times of rapid change.
