Quant and UST Partner to Accelerate Adoption of Institutional Digital Assets in Financial Services

Partnership enables banks and capital market players to tokenize existing asset classes and issue interoperable digital assets, creating new business opportunities and revenue streams quickly and easily

BENGALERU, India and LONDON, November 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Amountthe pioneer of blockchain for finance, has partnered with USTa leading digital transformation solutions company, to provide technical integration and tokenization services to central and commercial banks and capital market players.

These services will help financial institutions embrace digital assets as they increasingly realize the benefits of distributed ledger technologies by issuing digital money and tokenizing existing asset classes for faster settlement speed and access to new markets and customers.

Quant will provide core technology, and UST will provide support through design and user interface integration through its Sandbox based in their London innovation lab. The partnership facilitates the issuance of central bank digital currencies, digital currency in the form of commercial stablecoins, and digital securities on major distributed ledger networks. By working with both companies, financial institutions can shorten the lifecycle of their blockchain projects to just a few weeks.

Quant uses low-code APIs to issue highly secure, externally validated digital assets and tokenized currencies. Its Overledger Gateway enables trade flows used by banks for accounts, payments and settlements, and can connect to exchanges and asset management venues.

The global tokenization market was valued at $2 billion in 2021; compound growth of 24% is expected over the next eight years, according to Grand View Research. Additionally, CBDC pilots are currently underway around the world, which will unlock new capabilities for governments, businesses, and consumers. Today, more than 50 countries are in an advanced phase of exploring CBDCs, and 19 of the G20 countries are considering a digital currency.

Gilbert VerdienFounder and CEO of Quant, said, “UST has been at the forefront of blockchain services for nearly a decade and their customer focus is aligned with our approach. The partnership will ensure that financial institutions can create new business opportunities and innovate with new DLT integrated products and services to tokenize existing asset classes.”

Daniel Fieldglobal head of blockchainUST, said, “We partnered with Quant because of the inherent flexibility and agility of its technology. Designed for financial institutions, Quant’s Overledger API Gateway is the perfect foundation to bring the benefits of blockchain to a host of businesses in this industry.
