Fastly has appointed Alan Chan as its first head of distribution and partnership for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Chan will be responsible for continuing the development of the Fastly channel in line with the company’s growth strategies in Australia and New Zealand, the company says.

At the same time, he will be responsible for developing mutually beneficial relationships between Fastly and its network alliance partners, managed service providers and systems integrators.

This is intended to help them sell, deploy and maintain Fastly’s global edge cloud network, which enables customers to quickly build and secure trusted digital experiences.

Chan joins Fastly with over 20 years of experience in the enterprise IT and cybersecurity industry in business development, customer account management, sales engineering and technical support.

Most recently, at Trustwave, a subsidiary of Singtel Optus, Chan helped drive double-digit annual revenue growth for the organization during his four-year tenure.

Integral to the company’s success in Australia, Chan helped the company secure some of its largest managed security and consulting services contracts and was responsible for securing the largest product contract in history. of the company.

Chan previously worked at Unisys as Director of Business Development Security, where he built the cybersecurity business from the ground up by defining and executing go-to-market strategy.

He has also held enterprise account management positions at FireEye, Symantec, Websense and McAfee.
